Florida Man Report – May 12
May 12 – Florida Man Who Killed Wife, Imposters Her for a Year, Then Kills Her Parents and Sibling
A Florida man really thought of the unimaginable by killing his wife and remaining silent about it for a year. 25-year-old Shelby Svensen fooled his in-laws into believing their daughter was okay knowing well that she was out of this world. Besides, he even posed as her multiple times, without the family ever knowing. You wonder why neighbors or friends of the couple never noticed she was missing. Or, why would no one dare ask him her whereabouts?
Well, we kinda understand that such a master of intrigue as Svensen would do anything to convince you his dead wife was alive. Probably using excuses like she was on a journey, job transfer, or other legit reasons that didn’t need more explanations.
After committing such a crime, you could either be too guilty or too numb. I mean, we’ve seen cases of people turning themselves in to the police after such heinous incidents. But unfortunately, the man was void of humanity. So, he decided to store his wife’s corpse in their Port Richey home’s backyard and wear a friendly facade when talking about her to her family.
After over a year, evil reached its climax when the man also went and killed his in-laws. He might have thought of doing this act because he was afraid they would find out about his wife’s death soon, who knows? He had done all he could to convince his wife’s family and friends she was alive, including sending her and their kids’ photos. Whenever anyone called, he would take her place and respond via text that she wasn’t available for a call.
How could that go on for a year? Well, soon afterward, the 25-year-old silent killer decided to end the lives of Jamie Ivancic’s three family members. The police busted him in Jamie’s stolen SUV and arrested him soon after the tri-homicide. The 25-year-old was with his two kids at the time but were taken to foster care in Ohio, per Tampa Bay Times.

May 12 – Cocaine Intoxicated Florida Man Causes $1,000 Worth of Damage For Chewing Police Car Back Seat After Arrest
Many things go through a person’s mind after an arrest, especially when left alone in the police car backseat. While some wish they could reverse time and avoid their mistakes, others say, “It is what it is” and decide to roll with things. So is the case of a Florida man who started chewing a police car seat in the backseat.
While the repercussions of cocaine possession vary with different states across the USA, it will always lead one to jail, attracting a few charges, and a bond. In this case, the man would have a lot to deal with including damages he caused to the seat.
Something else, every state has set tell-tale tinting levels beyond which you’d be on the wrong side of the law. Melvin Stubbs tried this out by using very dark tinting, prompting a traffic stop near the Florida Keys. The police then discovered he had cocaine baggies in his jacket pockets, all weighing 41.1 grams. Besides, the police found out he had an arrest warrant over cocaine sales, which was violating his probation constrictions.
The man wasn’t ready to give himself over to the cops that easily. So, he tried taking off, at which a cop caught, tasered him, and placed him in the police car’s backseat. The cops might have thought it was over with the resistance until they noticed the man in the back of the car chewing off the car seat. The chewed part was as large as costing at least $1,000 in repair, per the affidavit.
Assessing the man’s combative mannerisms, the cops restrained his feet and swerved to Fisherman’s Hospital in Marathon. Later, after Stubbs responded to medicine and was cleared, they took him to jail.
