April 18 – Florida Man Arrested in Illinois After Throwing Old Toilet at a Board of Education Building
A Florida man probably thought the day had been too peaceful to live. Or maybe he wanted to see how woke the legal forces were, who knows? It’s hard to tell what goes through the minds of Floridians. Another thing, the quest for “what could happen?” doesn’t discriminate against age in Florida. Even adults as old as 36 years always want to find out for themselves.
This quest seemingly caught up with one Florida man, Dave Toliver, who decided to throw an old toilet at a government building in East Saint Louis. The arrest report from the East Saint Louis Police Department said the man immediately fled after throwing the toilet. He was later found sitting on another toilet on the corner of Cleveland and 11th.
The 36-year-old carried the old toilet into the Board of Education building, as per the arrest reports, before throwing it through the front window. Dispatchers who got to the scene were told that the man ran away immediately after throwing the toilet. The cops went searching for him through the city and found him in the most unsuspected place. They arrested the man and charged him with one count of property damage, as reported by the Miami Herald.
Court hearing processes began, with the man facing a $10,000. However, the reason why Toliver had traveled to Illinois and how he accessed the two toilets remained a mystery.
In yet another toilet scenario, a Florida man was charged with felony theft after stealing 66 rolls of tissue from an Orlando hotel. The man allegedly transferred the tissue rolls into a trash can before dragging it to his car at the Marriott Hotel. A security guard was patrolling the hotel at around 1:30 a.m. when he noticed suspicious activity, as stated in the arrest affidavit. The guard called 911, who arrested the suspect after finding a trash bag filled with the tissue rolls in his van’s rear.

Florida Man Arrested in Death of Grandmother Found in Bed Filled with Live Maggots
A man from Melbourne Florida faced charges related to his grandmother.
Allen might have waited for his grandmother’s death to take her to the hospital. Upon arrival, a medical inspection established that the woman was unresponsive and filled with bed sores, some of which were open. This led to a search in her home to determine the cause of her death.
The home was filled with a dirty stack of diapers, frozen foods, and a bed filled with blood and feces stains, as revealed by the search warrant. Detectives also found full-description bottles of dementia.
The woman, Anita Arias, had been in good health condition a couple of months before her grandson took her from a rehabilitation center. An autopsy was conducted, which revealed the cause of Anita’s death. She was discovered to have suffered from extreme dehydration which might have shot her blood sugar levels to as high as has ever been measured. Besides, the woman suffered emaciation. A month after the discovery of Anita’s unfortunate case, Allen was charged with aggravated manslaughter of an elderly person.
Questions about the woman’s deplorable state before her death resonated with many people who heard of her news. Could it be that Allen signed her mother out of the rehabilitation center to kill her? Did Anita have other relatives and why wouldn’t they care for her?
Well, such cases prove how wild humans can be.
In a different scenario, a man from Panama City, Florida was arrested after keeping his wife’s corpse after a grisly accident. The 60-year-old man reportedly said he kept the dead body because he did not want to lose his wife. However, the man, Gary Johnson, left the body on the floor for a few days, causing the man’s dogs to chew her feet off.
