Florida Man Files – April 23

April 23 – Surveillance Video: Florida Man Sprays Fellow Jail Inmates with Urine

A Florida man, Alexandar Kade who was already facing two charges filled a spray bottle and attacked two fellow inmates with it. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said the violent 23-year-old inmate took the urine-filled spray bottle and advanced toward the first victim who was standing in his cell. The gate to the cell was closed, but Kade directed the bottle toward him, spraying it on the inmate’s face and prison shirt.

The 23-year-old also went to another cell whose gate was closed and sprayed the liquid on him. According to the Sheriff’s Office, both victims claimed the liquid’s smell resembled urine and requested to press charges against Kade.

True to the claims, the surveillance cameras captured Kade’s actions, leading to further charges. The Sheriff’s Office charged Kade with battery by a jail detainee on a detainee on top of two previous charges relating to violence against law enforcement officers. Other previous charges include probation violation, fleeing to elude, grand theft auto, and felony battery.

While this appears strange, such events aren’t so rare in Florida. In a previous case, a Florida man tossed a liter of urine at a Palm Beach County sheriff’s Officer’s eyes. The officer, who responded to a 911 call, got to Alfonsa J. Loftin’s house where he met a splash of urine on his face, according to deputies.

The man went ahead to barricade himself in the home and refused to listen to the cops’ requests. The cops resorted to using force to break into the room, including shooting Loftin’s thigh through a small hole. While it was unclear whose urine it was, it was classified as a deadly weapon because its potential effects on the officer’s eyes could be terminal.

April 23 – Florida Man Ends 4-Hour Confrontation with Police In Exchange of Pizza

A Florida man resisting arrest ended a 4-hour stand-off with police after the cops promised him fresh pizza. The man had threatened his family through text using Coldplay lyrics when the cops were called on him. However, the confrontation ended so fast after the cops promised him one of America’s favorite foods.

The incident unraveled when police were dispatched to McLemore’s home after claims of a possible battery. The suspect who had barricaded himself at his home had threatened that he had a gun to his head and added other threats that were discovered to be Coldplay lyrics.

When cops arrived at the home, they tried for several hours to lure the man from the room but he remained unconvinced. The man, who had ranted that he wasn’t “going back to prison, no matter what,” stayed true to his words despite the SWAT’s numerous efforts to arrest him until they promised him pizza.

The man had committed several violations, including vocal and physical threats. McLemore’s stepmother claimed the man had threatened his grandmother by holding a knife to her throat. Besides, he threatened people around him that he would call his “Nazi” associates from prison for restitution.

McLemore texted his family Coldplay lyrics of the song “Fix You” before they cut communications with him. The man picked parts of the song’s lyrics, saying he would try to fix them after light ignites their bones. While the song was intended to uplift its listeners, McLemore’s message to his family must have been different, even though unclear.

Previously, McLemore had served almost two years in jail after he was charged with battery on a person above 65 years. With such a history, the man’s threats to his grandmother and relatives would materialize. Yet in a manner so unexpected, his resistance to arrest was halted with the promise of a delicacy. However, jokes on him, he ended up in police custody, with a $100,000 bond.
