June 2 – Florida Man Defiantly Wears “F*ck the Police” T-Shirt to Court and Gets Away With It

Michael Burns, a white Floridian from Broward County saw the police kick people off public property, claiming they were “ruining their fun.” So, he pulled out his phone, thinking it was good to videotape it. That’s when he knew the cops weren’t too distracted – one cop on the scene came up to him and asked him to leave.

Burns, who had already captured the police kicking scenario, simply went off, despite knowing he wasn’t legally obliged – he hadn’t left much to record. As the man pulled out and was about to make a U-turn to head home, he saw a fleet of cars, each taking a spot around his. The same cop who had asked him to leave tried to ask him questions regarding his FOP badge, even claiming it was obstructing.

Burns was calm until the cop asked him to remove the badge. The man, as if tired of cheap arguments, told the sheriff he would meet him in court. And when the day came, Burns surely showed up, ready to air out his sentiments. If anything, he had the videotaping… However, something about him startled everyone but the court. Burns showed up in a T-shirt written “F*ck the police” at the back.

While this could bring a different case altogether, the court appeared unfazed and went on to solve the matter at hand. Burns came out as the winner even without having to speak during the hearing.

Speaking later in a video, Burns acknowledged his T-shirt’s message demonstrated defiance and disrespect that he wouldn’t have gotten away with if he were an African American. That speaks of how sick the justice system is, considering many people of color in the United States end up in jail for simply exercising their constitutional rights.

June 2 – Squirrel Attacks Florida Teen for Taking a Selfie

Squirrels are the best definition of “Looks are deceiving.” One moment you’re taking a sweet selfie but then everything turns awry.

A Florida teen was walking about John Chestnut Park when he found a squirrel on a handrail. At the time, the young man looking for colleges was a little distracted by the animal’s friendly look and even thought of capturing it using his smartphone. Well, the sweet time didn’t last for long. The rodent waited for the 17-year-old to turn away and pounce at him from the back.

Brian Genest said that it was hard to fight the animal off because it chose a spot where his hands couldn’t reach. Later, he learned that the squirrel was scared by the clicks of the camera and might have taken his smile as a trap. So, the animal chose violence first.

Genest fell himself down to keep the squirrel off his back, at which it fled into the bush. While both parties left unharmed, their story left a sensation across social media, some saying, “That’s it. I’m moving to Florida.” Others say the squirrel might have not loved how he looked in pictures.

And while others speculated the animal might have been aggravated Genest was moving about his territory, this proves that the Florida craze resonates with every creature that finds itself in that state.

In yet another squirrel attack story, Robby Armstrong from Sarasota County was attacked by a “crazy squirrel” tamed by his neighbor. One thing about these rodents, you might be thinking all is well until they crawl up your shoulder and bite your elbow. While he left with wounds in his elbow, Armstrong ascertained that the animal had attacked a few other residents without provocation. Seems like these rodents become aggressive upon encountering humans. So, it’s best to let them be.
